1. In order to forgive it requires us to stop viewing that person as an evil entity, but instead to see them for the humans they are. It’s very important to understand the person and their intentions before you develop a sense of compassion, and once you do, it’s easier for you to forgive.
2. It’s wise to give a benefit of doubt, usually all our negative behaviors are a result of our fear, insecurity and ignorance. When people harm us with their words or actions, they are acting out of insecurity.
3. Very often we find intentions of people are not to malign but their way of putting across is incorrect, people fail to express and later find it difficult to apologize, so where there is no apology it becomes all the more difficult to forgive.
Why should you Forgive?
1. When you forgive someone you actually help yourself, you make peace with your conscience and you feel light and at ease. Forgiveness is an act to free ourselves from the pain or bitterness.
2. If you can’t forgive you can’t keep a clear vision of your goals, you are constantly worried and you are not able to keep up the focus.
3. If you wish to maintain healthy relationships and enhance your job productivity you need to learn to forget and forgive.
4. To find inner- peace and happiness you need to learn the art of forgiveness
5. If you do not forgive people you find it difficult to cope up, you keep harboring emotions like anger, guilt as a result you encounter state of stress, anger, depression, frustrations which affects your mental and physical health.
Do not burden your conscience with resentment; it will only give you pain and despair. Forgiveness is an act of love, when you forgive you release pain from within. Remember, in the end it is your choice, and it is the survival of your own souls that is at stake
